A guided Arcs page, and more ways to begin
Arcs now tells you what to do next, four more ways to start a story, and a Co-writer that drafts one card at a time.
More ways to begin
Alongside the genre starter, Plan's Start screen (How do you want to begin?) now offers:
Start from a character: sketch someone who lives in your head, and the Co-writer builds the story around them.
Surprise me: roll a premise, reroll any part of it, and keep the one that sparks.
Mix tropes: up to four tropes and a line of your own.
Bring a draft: import your chapters, then the Co-writer drafts the open steps from what you've written.
A spark can now run to 6,000 characters, and every direction keeps all of it. Talk it through asks its ten questions straight away, and suggests answers only when you ask. Foundations is now four steps: the arcs and chapter 1 moved to the Arcs page.
A guided Arcs page
A spine shows your arcs along one line to the ending, each as wide as its chapters.
Next up gives you one thing to do at a time, most useful first, with Skip.
Each arc reads as a sentence (its goal, against whoever's in the way, or else what's at stake). Open parts are blanks you type into in place.
With no arcs yet, Lay out from a structure sets them out from a story shape such as a 15-beat sheet.
One arc's page has the same shape, with its own Next up.
The Co-writer, one card at a time
When a step has several cards, the Co-writer drafts the next card only after you've chosen on the one before, and drafts it from your choice. A premise is never pitched for a main plot you haven't picked.

A redesigned left sidebar.
Settings are grouped into The book, Writing, AI and Project.
On Publish, each chapter row shows one action, and the rest (Preview, Publish up to here, Schedule, Unpublish) sit in its ⋯ menu.
Series pages fit the new page widths.
