Link names as you write, with [[
Type [[ to link a name to your story bible, the way Obsidian does. Pick an alias, add a new one, or make a new entry without leaving the page.
Your story bible now links straight from the page, the way it does in Obsidian. It's free and uses no AI.
Type [[ and start a name. A list of your bible's entries opens, matched by name, alias or summary. Press Enter or Tab and the name is written and linked. If you were typing an alias ("the Captain" for Mara Vance), the alias is what's written.
Aliases, your way. Press → on an entry to see all its names and pick the one this sentence needs. Typed something new? Choose +alias and those words link now and are kept as another name for that entry.
New entries on the spot. If nothing matches, make a new entry with that name, of any kind, right from the list.
Link and unlink what you've written. Select a few words and choose Link to connect them to an entry. Select linked words and choose Unlink to remove the link. Your words stay exactly as written.
Catch the names you missed. Use Link names on a chapter to see every place an entry's name or alias appears but isn't linked yet. Tick the ones you want and link them in one go, and undo if you change your mind. Each entry's page lists its unlinked mentions across the whole project too.
Every link counts as one of your own references, so it appears on the entry's page next to everything else that mentions it.
