The reader wiki

A wiki that never spoils.

The reading that fills your bible builds it: who’s who, the places, who is what to whom, each page held to the chapter that reader has finished. A second identity keeps its own page until the chapter that reveals it. Every line links to the paragraph it came from, and readers can flag a mistake to you.

Previously

Back after a month? Caught up.

A reader who comes back gets what happened last time, or the story so far, without a word past where they stopped. Previously on… lays out every chapter they've read as a panel, with the next one censored.

The Count of Monte Cristo · Ch 41, The Presentation
Connections and Journeys

The whole story, as far as they've read.

Readers can play the web of who is what to whom through the chapters, or follow anyone from place to place and see where paths crossed. It grows one chapter at a time, up to theirs.

The chapter page

A page that keeps their place.

Readers pick up at the paragraph they left, on any device. Light, sepia or dark, the type and size they like, with dyslexia-friendly fonts. At a chapter's end: who they just met, the lines that got people, and what's up next.

Listen

Every chapter, read aloud.

Readers can listen to any chapter, with the line being read lit as it goes: in their device's own voice for free, or in your narration when you've made one that matches what you published.

Good to know

What the wiki needs.

The wiki is off until you turn it on, story by story. You can hide an entry or its picture, write its public description, and preview it as a reader would.

Readers sign in to use it, because it reads how far each one has got. They never pay for it or start a model call: it fills itself from the scans you already run.

It knows what your scans know, so it grows as you scan. See everything in the reader wiki.

Followers, and talk without spoilers.

A serial lives on readers coming back. They can follow your story and hear about each new chapter, and talk about it without ruining it for the ones behind them.

  • Follow a story by the bell, by email or by its feed
  • Comments from readers further ahead are counted, not shown
  • Spoiler reviews stay covered until a reader catches up
  • Reactions to a paragraph stay private to the reader
  • Quote a line, with a link straight to it
  • Human-written labels, and the AI share on every story that used any
  • Your Patreon or Ko-fi links on your story and after every chapter

Questions writers ask

Do readers pay anything?

No. Reading, the wiki, recaps and listening in the device's own voice are free for readers.

Can I publish while I'm still writing?

Yes. Publish each chapter when it's done, or schedule releases ahead. You keep writing in the studio and update published chapters when you change them.

Do I have to turn on the wiki?

No. It's off until you turn it on for a story, and you can turn it off again.
